The Heat Basic is a swimming pool heat pump designed specifically for swimming pool heating. The heater basic moves the free heat from the outside air to the swimming pool water, rather than create heat, as a fossil fuel or electric heater does. That's why the swimming pool heat pumps are so efficient.
The heater has a simple electro-mechanical temperature control allowing easy temperature setting. The Heat pump Basic has an upgraded Titanium heat exchanger giving you a 10 year anti-corrosion warranty.
The Heat Basic comes with 1 1/2" connections.
It maximum running power consumption is 9.5amps and should be fitted to a 20amp Breaker & protected by an RCD.

How Does it work?
A Heat pump is a mechanical device that transfers heat from one medium, the heat source, to another, the heat sink thereby cooling the first and warming the second. They consist of a series of pipes which contain a refrigerant (R-410A) that is compressing in one part of the system and expanding in another. When the gas is compressed it gets hot. For example if you have ever inflated a football or bicycle tyre with an old fashioned pump at speed the pump gets hot. This is because the gas, in this case air, is compressed. To cool the process, in simple terms, is reversed. Heat pumps produce more heat than the unit consumes in electrical energy in the right conditions.

The Waterco Elecro Heat Pump range starts with an economical single phase 16kW Heat Pump, right through to an extremely powerful 44kW three phase model, all have titanium heat exchangers for long service life.
An optional internal ducting kit is also available at an extra cost of £285 allowing indoor installations of the complete range of Waterco Heat Pump Models.
